Before the sanding and painting...before the late-night crafting and construction, allow me to take you back to the beginnings of our Disney Side @Home Celebration!
As part of a MomSelect and Disney Parks campaign, I learned we had a Disney Side @Home Celebration Kit on the way about 6 weeks before our actual celebration. I was so incredibly excited. I spent hours thinking about what we love most about Disney, and how on earth I was going to share it in a few short hours!
As other hosts|hostesses announced the arrival of their kit across social media, it was hard to wait for ours to arrive! I love that the contents of our Disney Side @Home Celebration kits were kept a surprise. I feel like there are few moments in your adult life when you get to be genuinely surprised by something wonderful.

After running errands one afternoon, we pulled into the driveway and saw the large cardboard box sitting on our front step. As I hefted the large box inside, my boys stood excitedly at the front door (which made getting inside a bit of a challenge).
The box was large enough for them both to sit in.
It was incredible to be a participant in this impressive campaign - I'll admit to feeling a bit nervous. Our oldest has had his heart set on a surprise party for some time. He would soon be turning 5, and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed surprise birthday party felt like a great way to share his Disney Side!
NEXT UP: Our Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed surprise birthday party!
If you were to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration, what would your theme be?

Yay! Surprises are so fun. I know my preschooler would be over the moon about a Mickey package too. Hope it goes well. Do your kids know it's the Mickey Mouse theme or will that be a surprise as well as the party?
ReplyDeleteIf I were to do a Disney party I'd probably do a 'Pirates of the Carribean' not that it's totally kid friendly but you get to wear funny hats and talk with an accent? I'm all over that!
Yes, love the Pirates theme too. What a great theme for a party. My son was on board with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme, but there were a lot of surprises waiting for him! More to come!
