What I Didn't Expect From A Haircut

Let me just say, you're the best!

Behind the Groundhog Day Date Night post you saw for a whole week, a lot was happening! I'm looking forward to sharing more about each one with you.

Full days of motherhood, of course.
 An unexpected haircut!
A day-trip to Boise for a private screening of a fantastic movie every mom should see - Moms' Night Out!
 Disney Side Home Celebration scheming!
A wonderful Build Your Blog Conference presented by Six Sisters' Stuff!

Oh believe you me I had a lot to say about the first haircut I got a week ago! But, I really only had one positive thing to say which was Keri from Great Clips saved me [Highland Drive store]! After my first cut elsewhere, I walked into Great Clips. I had no clue what to do about my hair. Keri was the best listening ear, and gave me a cute short cut that has drawn a lot of compliments since then!

I had to accept no amount of ranting would bring my hair back.

I wrote [and rewrote] the kindest email I could to the owner of the spa where I'd first had my hair cut. Which attracted the immediate attention of a very sweet and apologetic manager, who promptly offered me a full refund.

After just one week, I appreciate having one less distraction. There just isn't much hair to fuss with. [I won't be using a straightener for a while!] With a little water and a little product my hair is done for the day in minutes. The frustration of uncooperative hair is gone. Along with quite a bit of negative and critical self-talk(!). I had no idea I spent so much time and emotional energy on my hair.

Have you experienced a recent blessing in disguise?
