Sofia the First: Songs from Enchancia - a Review and Giveaway

It's been a full week, hasn't it? Like so many of you I imagine, I'm in need of a day of rest. Admittedly, I pulled a "quick ditch" with our youngest at bed time and shortened the bedtime routine to hugs and kisses, and the filling of a sippy cup!

Before I sign off tonight, with special thanks to Disney and
Entertainment New Media Network,
I get to share three copies of the new Sofia the First CD!

While driving home the other day, my son 'Leap' told me I frustrate him. He's 4. Given the emotion with which he said it, I believed him. Certain lessons just aren't sinking in at the moment, which apparently is frustrating for both of us. At times when I feel like I'm repeating myself a lot and yet not getting through, I'm grateful for any outside positive reinforcement I can get. Similar messages, in a different 'voice.'

As a participating Influencer at The Entertainment New Media Network, I was given the Sofia the First: Songs from Enchancia music CD to review. Our little guys love getting mail, and were so excited to get a package!
Because I get to share my opinions all the time, I thought you'd much rather hear my 4-year-old say cute thingsAfter I put the 2-year-old to bed, I stayed up with Leap and asked him a few questions.

[It was hard to stop at just three...]

Leap remembered how Sofia once led a simple life in the village shoe shop
with her single mom Miranda. After her mom married King Roland,
Sofia became a princess and a step-sister to Princess Amber and Prince James.

Sofia has a lot to learn about being a princess, while following her heart and
remaining true to herself. I like that she doesn't always get it right, and
when she doesn't we learn important lessons right alongside her.

I love Ariel Winter as Sofia and was also wowed by the other voices! I grew up with Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine and loved hearing from them again - this time, sharing their wisdom with 7-year-old Sofia.

For my pair of Jake and the Neverland Pirates fans, Jake and Sofia sing one of my favorite songs "Be Who You Wanna Be." And despite "Sisters and Brothers" being about sisters and brothers, I find it surprisingly applicable to moms and their kids! This is fun, family-friendly album. I'm grateful for the support positive media can offer parents in need of another 'voice.'

I'd love to send you your own copy!

  2. This sounds like such a fun album! I'm not sure I could get my older boys to listen to it but I might be able to sneak it in with the younger two.
